Summer is in full swing. A time when many people slow down, step back from their daily routines and take the opportunity to reflect on their next steps and new challenges. Where do you stand now, and where do you want to go? At BPM Company, we understand how important these questions are. That’s why we’re committed to actively supporting our people in their development and in taking those next steps. Our Field Managers play a key role in this. They ensure that our Pega professionals, from junior to senior, are continuously challenged and able to follow their own growth path. In this blog, we’ll share how we make that happen.
Personal growth requires personal attention
At BPM Company, we work with a diverse group of consultants, from starters and careers switchers to mediors and seniors, each with their own style, personality, ambitions and stage of life. That’s why we believe that growth should never follow a one-size-fits-all approach. By taking the time to understand what drives someone, where possible obstacles lie and what ambitions they have, we’re able to offer tailored support through our unique talent management system. Our goal? To provide the right tools for continued growth, both professionally and in the development of soft skills.
One size fits none
Our talent management system is fully tailored to the individual. Driven by healthy ambition, everyone is given the level of responsibility that suits them best. Thanks to frequent contact with their Field Manager, there’s always room to make adjustments, whether it’s setting new goals or planning additional check-ins. As a result, our annual reviews are often a moment of shared satisfaction, with no surprises along the way.
The role of our Field Managers
As Marnix, one of our Field Managers, puts it well:
“My role is primarily supportive, rooted in the relationship with the professional and the person behind them. One person moves forward naturally and directly toward their goals, while another needs a little push. That can range from holding up a mirror to giving a metaphorical kick, figuratively speaking of course. I try to broaden the professional’s perspective as much as possible on their own actions, but also on the environment around them. You could call it my personal mission against the growing individualism we see in society.”
Continuous challenge and development
“As a Field Manager, I don’t impose goals on anyone, that doesn’t really work. It’s much more about topping into intrinsic motivation. That’s how we get to goals that are both ambitious and achievable. In my view, that’s the best way to challenge people.”
Growth is only truly effective when it comes from within. That’s why our Field Managers encourage ownership, giving professionals the space to take charge of their own career path, with support whenever it’s needed.
The positive impact of genuine connection
At BPM Company, Field Management is far from a mere formality. We meet regularly in person, either at our office in Utrecht or at the client’s location. These moments are intentionally personal and create space for real, meaningful conversations. This approach fosters openness and mutual trust.
“The Field Managers support our growth by giving us trust, offering space, and when needed giving, giving us that extra push.”
