Sabrine has been working at BPM Company since the spring of 2023. As a senior business analyst at BPM Company, she helps companies set up their processes as efficiently as possible with the help of the right supporting software. In this blog, she talks about why she fell for BPM Company and whether her expectations were met.
The introduction to BPM Company
I came in contact with BPM Company through LinkedIn. Among all the vacancies and offers, it was “Pega” that caught my attention. My previous experience with the Pega platform was so positive that I decided to take the call. From the very first meeting, I knew that BPM Company was the right choice for me. The open and relaxed atmosphere immediately appealed to me, as did the fact that BPM Company is not a very large company. I had previously worked for an organization with more than 500 employees, and while that certainly has its advantages, I missed the personal touch. At BPM Company, I felt there is honest attention to the employees.
The power of Pega
Pega is distinguished by its low-code development approach, which in my view makes it an attractive solution that I strongly believe in. Because I was already familiar with Pega, I didn’t have to reinvent the wheel or get used to a new system and new ways of working.
An unusual job interview
During my job interview, I was asked to tell something more about myself. A common question, you might say. Then there was a question: whether I could also tell something about my upbringing and how it has contributed to who I am today. This is quite a personal question and could easily make you stress out. But the way the question was asked was so natural. I felt the heartfelt interest. At BPM Company, they are not just looking for people to do the job. They are looking for the right people who really fit the company. That personal question suddenly made it not feel like a job interview. Normally, a job interview is much more one-sided, with the recruiter asking questions and you, the applicant, trying to give the desired answers. This was a sincere two-way conversation, in which I myself dared to ask direct questions back very easily. An extraordinary experience.
More than just work. Young BPM and other activities
At BPM Company, there is also plenty of room for additional activities. One such initiative is “Young BPM,” especially for colleagues who are 35 or younger. Every month we organize something as a group. The activities vary greatly: one time it’s something active like bocce, another time something informative like a workshop on buying your first house. We as colleagues think up the topics ourselves and take the initiative, which the management strongly encourages. It may also be that we organize something in addition to the “usual” business activities. For example, at the end of last year we had a separate year-end drinks party for Young BPM, which is held in addition to the company’s regular year-end drinks party. There is also a great ski trip every year. This trip is not only for experienced skiers and snowboarders, but also for beginners who have never been on the slats before and want to take lessons. We are also a close team during work. We talk to each other daily and seek each other out by scheduling fixed office days. All this makes for a nice and flexible way of working together and a strong mutual bond.
