Even though nowadays it’s very easy to work together with colleagues on the other side of the world, personal contact remains valuable for team building. That’s why our client Rabobank, regularly organizes business trips to India so that teams can get to know each other better and work more productively. This time, the team of our Pega System Architect, Charlotte Brewaeys, had the opportunity to spend two weeks in Bengaluru, India. In this blog, she shares her experiences from this trip.
Bonding with colleagues
“It was not only my first business trip but also my first time in Asia. It was an unforgettable experience. Working together in person was not only enjoyable, but also made the team work more efficient and productive. The bond with my colleagues grew stronger and deeper, and we experienced a lot together in such a sort period of time.
There were a few bumps along the way, like lost luggage and navigating the notorious chaotic traffic of Bengaluru, but there were mostly many great moments. We tried various Indian dishes, picked out traditional Indian clothing for Ethnic Day, won a Hackathon, and even ended up on the dance floor during a networking event at India’s largest brewery.”
New connections
“During my trip to Bengaluru, I not only got to know my own team but also colleagues from other Rabobank teams. We all stayed in the same hotel, which made it easy to connect with new people and ultimately led to a great and especially enjoyable group atmosphere.”
